Health and Nutrition
Our Programs
Health and Nutrition
We work to improve community health systems and address malnutrition through holistic and inclusive interventions: from Maternal and Child Health programs to Nutrition Education, Vaccination drives, and Health Facility support, we aim to reduce preventable deaths and promote healthier lives.
Our Objectives
- Improve health service delivery: We support local health systems by equipping health facilities, training health workers, and strengthening referral mechanisms.
- Promote maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH): We focus on reducing maternal and child mortality by increasing access to antenatal care, skilled birth attendance, postnatal care, and childhood immunizations.
- Combat malnutrition: Our programs include screening and treatment of acute malnutrition (SAM and MAM), growth monitoring, supplementary feeding programs, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture.
- Community health education: We promote healthy behaviors through community health volunteers (CHVs), mobile health clinics, peer education, and mass media campaigns.
- Disease prevention and response: Including support for malaria prevention, TB screening, Polio Vaccination, HIV/AIDS education and care, and outbreak response (e.g., cholera, COVID-19).
